About Us
We are Jes Aagaard and Norah Tolmie. We both have an extensive background in the restaurant business, but tired of that in the mid-’90′s. Norah went back to school and earned a Diploma in Horticulture from Kwantlen College in Langley, BC. Jes apprenticed with one of the Lower Mainland’s foremost landscaping firms. We liked being outside and growing things! We soon started our own landscape design, installation and maintenance business. In 2002, the opportunity to take over the Aagaard family farm came our way and we found ourselves here in Brandon, Manitoba on a little market garden. We brought to this opportunity our love for good food, our desire to live sustainably and our wish to leave as small a footprint on this planet as we could.
